In my new book, co-authored with by business partner Dan Gregory, we argue (see what I did there?!) that the key to a healthy business is one that asks itself 'what's in it for my staff'. If you are proposing new idea and you want your team to jump on board you need to think, at a very selfish yet selfless level, what is in it for them?
Same goes for arguing, if you want to win (and who doesn't) you need to be addressing the question 'if I win, what's in it for them?' and present your ideas that way.
Here, in this interview with The Morning Show, Dan and I outline some tricks and tools for swaying an argument in your favour whilst addressing what the other person is hoping to achieve.
Fingers crossed this leads to many positive outcomes from your business and personal interactions, because as much as we say it's about the taking part, we all want to win!
