How To Beat Your Screen Addiction

If they aren't in our hands, or in our pockets, they are under our pillows or infront of our faces.

Screen time - we dedicate more of our life to looking at laptops and phones than we do exercising or hanging out with loved ones and it's becoming a very worrying trend. We now have 12 month olds knowing their way around iPads before they learn to count, and when the sun is out valuable play time is being missed.

But it's not just our children, us grown-ups are just as guilty and we need to start taking control. In this interview with the team on The Morning Show, I outline the severity of the problem and a few simple ways we can all get back to basics in our family units.

These tips include:

  • Injecting fun into other areas of family life by playing games and bonding over beach time.
  • Only eating meals at the table and all together
  • Reconnecting with each other by creating a list of insightful questions to ask each day

All too often we behave like ships passing in the night, never finding time for the ones we love. My message is simple, it's time to get back to basics and put down the gadgets - with so much beauty in this country we need to get out amongst it!
